In Russia people are liars who say they take in photogaphy only. Believe me, they either sell stuff or have an illegal casino. Everyone except Kaidash, of course.

  • Nikita Pirogov

I like the way you can give life to something that already exist and see different edges of what you’ve already seen using photography. Kind of a rebirth of already existing essence and its recognition.

  • Julia Abzaltdinova

French writer Andre Gide once said: «Everything that needs to be said has already been said. But since no one was listening, everything must be said again». If concepts can be conditionally replicated, but masterly fulfilled, you can say more and show wider.

  • Kristina Podobed

In ten years my projects will become clearer for the audience and more mysterious for me.

  • Daria Amarant

I am interested in faces with fairy peculiarities (for example, freckles, quite thin constitution, beautiful hands, texturized profile, long hair with natural colour), in faces that plunge me into antiquity and Pre-Raphaelite paintings spirit, as well as “incorrect” non-standard faces. I also like impersonalized stills. They create some special feeling of unreality.

  • Varya Borodkina

For me, self-expression sounds egoistic. I’d rather want your attention focus on what you missed and I noticed, show a moment that I witnessed, and you didn’t. I am behind the camera, and you see the world from my perspective. You become me for a couple of seconds.

  • Irina Sevostyanova

I glue my collages by intuition, I don’t think about composition rules even breaking them sometimes. Actually it is helpful not to use head with all its knowledge and just to create. If you think too much about design in a collage creative layer of your work slips away, and the work looks too “refined”, so you will get much less pleasure of the result.

  • Anna Roslyakova

I often hear “If you don’t know what to do - do what you know”. It means “if you can’t improve world’s injustice – do what you can do and do it as well as you can”, or “if you are sure you are a good artist you worth doing what you have intended to do than introspecting and wasting time”.

  • Sasha Chaika

A moment of beauty can last for a second, for a minute and for a year, nevertheless it is very short-lived. And I think I could like it for a second once. But now I am tired of it already.

  • Kristina Lerner

I can’t avoid destruction. It seems to me to be one of the human features: to destroy and to renew. If you don’t destroy something in the proper time it will become stagnant and waste away one after another. The same situation is with good and bad people. There black and white in a man.

  • Anton Shebetko

Reaction is different – from enmity to acceptance. But you can’t please everyone - I don’t photograph bears in pine forest.

  • Natalya Schlyahovaya

Photoart is a reflection of changes and personal development and also a sociocultural experience in which you exist and replicate yourself. But it is more interesting to plunge your foot into a puddle.

  • Artem Mishukov

We’re all synchronized with everything; something has an effect on us, and we have an effect on something else – it’s like a flood. Man always asks himself: «What am I doing and why?» and it is the same in art. Some events just push you to it.

  • Nina Stadnik

New experience is the best. It is always pleasant when somebody is ready to wash your brushes while you are going in for art or dancing. However you’d better washed your brushes by yourself especially if you do it for someone else.

  • Lisa Dedova

It’s my way of cooperation with myself. Watching at just-made picture I can think over the things I felt at the moment that I have caught. Due to photography I understand myself better, I am aware of what is important for me and what is indifferent.

  • Sveta Mullari

I am a technique-fetishist. Any technique is like a…(It is difficult not to use metaphors related with children, you know) labyrinth. When studying it you face with many surprises that change your opinion about drawing.

  • Elena Chetverik

I think many people don’t go in for creation just because there is a stereotype that creation and particularly drawing are given by nature. I think that nature gives other qualities that either let you go in for creation or not. One of these qualities is attentiveness.

  • Ekaterina Smuraga

The matter is the time runs so fast as someone crazy is striving for it. So most of all in photography I like the ability to freeze time.

  • Roman Mokrov

I have taught myself to see so. Partly because I can’t live without irony and take everything seriously. I see at the angle. I turn out to be a “jolly cynic”. I see any situation from the outside.

  • Aleksey Ponomarchuk

I would like to learn colour printing and put leg over neck.
